Kuberaa
One of the most awaited movies of 2025 is “Kuberaa” – a film that not only tells the story of money and power, but also explores the dark side of emotions, legacy and greed. Kubera is an upcoming Indian crime drama film directed by Sekhar Kammula, who also wrote the screenplay with Chaitanya Pingali. Produced by Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations. The film stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh and Dalip Tahil.
Principal photography began with the first schedule on 17 January 2024 in Hyderabad. The public went on to question the police to know how they permitted the team to shoot at that spot and filed a police complaint against the team. On 13 March, the production house posted behind-the-scene stills, while also announcing a new schedule in Bangkok. In early May, production moved to Mumbai. During this schedule, Dhanush shot a sequence for 12 hours beside a dump yard. Filming wrapped in late April.
In April 2024, film producer Karmikonda Narendra stated that he owned the rights of the title Kubera and had already completed shooting a film with the title.

Kubera is the god of wealth in Hindu mythology. The title of the movie itself tells us that this is not just a story of earning money, but also a story of the obsession with money.

The filmmakers are yet to reveal the full story, but from the teaser and visuals it appears to be a crime-drama that will show the clash of politics, underworld and the corporate world. The teaser itself shows that this film will be visually stunning. The background score also looks quite powerful.

Kuberaa is scheduled to release theatrically worldwide on 20 June 2025 in standard and EPIQ formats.The Tamil Nadu distribution rights were bought by Romeo Pictures. The film’s streaming rights were acquired by Amazon Prime Video.
